Lower on-site staffing
Instead of a full sales team working the aisle, one or two people help with the machine and hand out gifts. With a vending module the booth can run almost unattended.
Realtime ticketing & checkout
Visitors choose, pay and collect their ticket at a self-service kiosk. RankEight issues the ticket in real time, handles tax and invoicing as merchant of record, and switches the service on the moment they pay.
One flow
A reference flow for on-site sales such as expos, markets and pop-up booths. Details are confirmed for each deployment.
Visitors browse the service and the gift samples on the touch screen, pick a plan, and enter a mobile number or scan a LINE code to create their account.
Tap a card, scan a QR wallet, or insert cash on machines with a cash module. The kiosk sends the payment and subscription request with its kiosk ID; RankEight takes the first charge, issues the e-invoice and authorizes recurring billing as merchant of record.
RankEight generates a secure, dynamic ticket in real time. The kiosk prints a redemption ticket or QR code, or a paper invoice. A vending module can dispense the gift itself; otherwise the visitor takes the ticket to the service desk, where staff scan it to redeem.
RankEight sends a webhook to your SaaS to switch the subscription on and texts the visitor, who can log in on their phone or tablet right at the booth.
Why a kiosk
Instead of a full sales team working the aisle, one or two people help with the machine and hand out gifts. With a vending module the booth can run almost unattended.
Cash, cards and mobile payments in one place, so visitors who prefer cash and those who prefer cards or QR wallets can all subscribe on the spot.
Many visitors dislike being sold to, but will happily try a demo, look at the gift samples and sign up on their own at the kiosk.
Built for the real world
If the paper roll runs out, the invoice fails to print or a gift is out of stock, RankEight texts a backup digital ticket link to the visitor's phone so the experience is not interrupted.
How it plugs in
Opens a temporary transaction when a visitor starts, with the kiosk ID and location.
After payment, returns the ticket and QR data for the screen or the receipt printer.
Staff or a vending module scan the ticket to redeem the gift or entitlement.
Tell your SaaS to activate the subscription the moment payment succeeds.
FAQ
Organizers and merchants who sell on site at expos, markets and pop-up booths: tickets, passes or subscriptions, with or without physical gifts.
It can run with very few. A vending module can dispense gifts automatically; without one, a single staff member scans tickets at a service desk.
The compact readers in our kiosk payments support offline card authorization where coverage is weak. If printing or stock fails, a backup digital ticket link is sent by text. How this works for your setup is confirmed at onboarding.
